General Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n

LAREINE’s second mini-album, containing 5 tracks, and their first release under a major record label.<\/p>\n

LAREINE’s “Fleur” single was so successful, that it quickly picked up the attention of Sony Music Entertainment, who signed LAREINE to their record label. The first two releases under SONY; this mini-album, and the M\u00e9tamorphose<\/a> single, were under a bizarre sublabel called “SME Intermedia”, instead of “SME Records”.<\/p>\n

I don’t fully understand the meaning or intentions behind “SME Intermedia”, since no one else released music under that sublabel. Maybe it was a test to see if LAREINE would perform well enough before investing even larger production budgets into them?<\/p>\n

No matter what it was for, LILLIE CHARLOTTE and M\u00e9tamorphose<\/a> performed extremely well, increasing their popularity enormously. This mini-album sold so well it reached a top position of 70 on the Oricon Style Weekly Albums Chart.<\/p>\n

LILLIE CHARLOTTE’s CD packaging is a huge, super-deluxe photo- and story book containing 52 pages.<\/p>\n

The third song, \u201c\u8594\u8587\u306f\u7f8e\u3057\u304f\u6563\u308b\u201d is a cover of the opening song from the popular 1972 manga\/anime series “The Rose of Versailles” (“Lady Oscar” in the West), illustrated by \u6c60\u7530\u4ee3\u5b50 (Ryoko Ikeda). This series had a big influence on KAMIJO when he was younger.<\/p>\n

This cover song was later rereleased as a single<\/a> in 2000. The rerelease is the same as the version on LILLIE CHARLOTTE, except for added soprano vocals.<\/p>\n

There’s two versions; Both are identical, except that the limited edition has a sticker with a serial number on the back. This limited edition was only sold on one concert, a few days before the “actual” release, on the 1st of October 1998.<\/p>\n

Limited edition of the mini-album with a serial number sticker, sold during their concert on the 27th of September, 1998 at\u65e5\u672c\u9752\u5e74\u9928 (Nihon Seinenkan). While the catalog numbers are LCD-006 and SSCX-15107, actually the catalog numbers of the normal edition are written on it, LCD-007 and SSCX-15108. Only a few hundred exist.<\/p>\n
