General Information:
MALICE MIZER’s 2nd single, containing one song, one piano composition, and the instrumental of the song.
It released at the time of the inauguration of the fan club “ma chérie” to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the new MALICE MIZER with Gackt.
The song was already performed live during the Tetsu era, and the lyrics were orginally written by him. But for the reason mentioned above, the lyrics and music were rearranged.
Both the main song and the piano piece weren’t released on any other releases in MALICE MIZER discography, but both songs did appear in the videography, as live videos.
The main song, “ma chérie~愛しい君へ~” is the only MALICE MIZER song where there are recordings available of all three vocalists singing the song; Even though the Tetsu era version is a live bootleg.
This is their final self-produced release before getting signed to a major record label. It’s beyond impressive what they were able to do as an independent band, but the impressive sales of this single showed that it was about time that MALICE MIZER got the budget and funding of a major label…
“Ma chérie” is French for “My darling”.
