LAREINE is a Japanese visual-kei rock band that existed from November 1994 to February 17, 2007.
They had a short major-label (SME Records) period from January 1999 to late summer 2000. At the end of it, when all members but vocalist KAMIJO left, and LAREINE became his solo project. LAREINE left SME Records went back to its independent roots under KAMIJO’s newly-founded APPLAUSE RECORDS label. In June 2001, KAMIJO left LAREINE and activities paused.

In late 2002, KAMIJO’s solo activities with LAREINE were resumed once again, and on March 26th, 2003 EMIRU, the original bassist rejoined again, together with a new drummer, KAZUMI. Shortly after, MAYU, the original guitarist joined them too. LAREINE remained independent until their final disbandment in 2007.
